New York Times + Interior Designers + Photography

The New York Times asked 5 interior designers to choose 10 photographs from their archive, creating an amazing gallery of 50 photographs. Well, Jonathan Adler, Thom Filicia, Laura Kirar, Kelly Weastler (a.k.a. my biggest idol) and Vicente Wolf have chosen, and their selections are great. The summer is over, I think.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm a little sad that the Summer is almost over.

Even though Fall is my favorite season, I really enjoyed riding my bike this summer, going to the park and wearing flip-flops everyday.

These pictures will be a reminder that the Summer always comes, even when you find that hard to believe, like in January and it's 20 degrees and you think the snow will never melt away. Don't worry, Summer eventually will be here.

New York is always my inspiration

One of my great pleasures is to grab my camera, go for a walk around Manhattan and snap pictures.
Inspiration is everywhere.

I was greeted by these 2 guys at the Alexis Bittar boutique in Soho.

I stopped for a drink at Aroma Espresso bar (the teas are so good!) I had the green tea with jasmine.

The lamps at the Aroma Bar are awesome. Loved this pattern of vintage illustrations.

A child's perspective

My 3 year old niece is awesome. She takes my camera and snaps pictures like crazy, and last weekend she took a few good ones. Here there are. I guess this is her perspective of the playground:

New York through my lens

I just love walking around New York city with my camera, enjoying the weather (last Saturday was gorgeous!), drinking a smoothie and just seeing and experience the city.

These are some of my favorites pictures that I took over the weekend and now are part of the image collection I keep for inspiration.

It's spring already.. I guess.

Today, for the first time in almost 6 months, it's sunny and beautiful. It seemed a crime not to go outside and soak some sun.

I went for a bike ride around the 16th Street Park in Bayonne, NJ, and it was super fun.

Still can't believe that I'm wearing a short sleeve T-shirt!!!

How brilliant is this? Old building photographs and how they look in the present day. There are a lot more at this amazing Flickr group "Looking into the past".

Wouldn't be a cool project to take some pictures of important buildings in your area and see how they've changed?

That's a project I'm interested in pursuing myself.
