New York through my lens | February

Hey! The month is almost over, but here's February edition of my photo project: New York through my lens. My quest to discover new places in NYC took me to the Lower East Side and inside the Tenement Museum. It was a wonderful experience. Almost like traveling back in time!

Black and White Portraits

Weird Beauty, is a collaboration between Russian photographer Alexander Khokhlov and make-up artist Valeriya Kutsan.

"In these series we decided to deny any color in our series except black and white to make more accent on forms and volume. The experiment should prove that usual simple forms, familiar things or characters can be a main part of wonderful beauty looks. Model faces in this project are not just canvases for the face-arts - they play their own role in each photo with different parts."

New York is always my inspiration

One of my great pleasures is to grab my camera, go for a walk around Manhattan and snap pictures.
Inspiration is everywhere.

I was greeted by these 2 guys at the Alexis Bittar boutique in Soho.

Dramatic architecture.

I stopped for a drink at Aroma Espresso bar (the teas are so good!) I had the green tea with jasmine.

The lamps at the Aroma Bar are awesome. Loved this pattern of vintage illustrations.
