Cyclemon

As a bike enthusiast, I fell in love this project, Cyclemon. Their premise is: "You are what you ride", and they showcase all different styles of  bicycles. I think mine would be the Gangsta!
  They have a shop, too!

Small Talk Winery

Recently, one of my favorite letterers and illustrators, Mary Kate McDevitt, updated her portfolio and it's full of new and exciting projects. I'm particularly smitten with the wine labels she did for Small Talk winery. The front of the bottle shows a speech bubble with things we say at dinner parties, and the back of the bottle shows a thought bubble, which expresses what we're really thinking. Very clever, and beautifully executed. Unfortunately ,this wine is not sold in the U.S.

Windows of New York

Excellent project by fellow Mexican designer Jose Guizar: Windows of New York, in which he illustrates windows in NYC that caught his keen eye.
Jose explains: This project is part an ode to architecture and part a self-challenge to never stop looking.
I thought that last part was important: to never stop looking. I love that.
P.S. I like looking at windows in NYC, too.

The Reconstructionists

I love this new collaboration by two people I deeply admire: Maria Popova, the author of Brain Pickings, and Lisa Congdon, a wonderful artist and illustrator.  This project, "The Reconstructionists", is a yearlong celebration of remarkable women -beloved artists, writers, and scientists, as well as notable unsung heroes- who have changed the way we define ourselves as a culture and live our lives as individuals of any gender.

This project will be updated every Monday, check it out here:  The Reconstructionists.

Oddsoks by Zara Picken

One of my favorites illustrators, Zara Picken, is working on a children's book.

"The book tells the story of a young boy called Jimi, whose socks strangely start disappearing one day. While trying to solve the mystery, Jimi discovers a note from the Oddsoks, a mob of mischievous creatures who have borrowed the socks to help them on their globetrotting adventure."

It looks wonderful!

The Ultimate Hitch Cookbook

I recently discovered the work of we think things, a motion graphics studio and am really impressed with their wonderful portfolio. (They also have one of the best about pages I've ever seen ) Their work is amazing and very clever, I specially love the Hitch Project. From their site:

" It’s about »The Ultimate Hitch Cookbook«, an animated book containing the recipes for Alfred Hitchcock’s classics. It’s made for Hitchcock enthusiasts and every other couch potato out there."

Hitch from we think things on Vimeo.

Do you like Alfred Hitchcock? Which is your favorite movie? I love Psycho and Rear Window.

Katie Kirk

One of my favorite illustrators, Katie Kirk, recently created a crest and a pattern for the Institute of Awesome, and I'm loving the wild color palette. Katie Kirk never disappoints, does she?

I Love Doodle

I've seen these illustrations all over the Internet but didn't know all belong to I Love Doodle. Lim Heng Swee, the artist behind I Love Doodle, mixes cuteness, inspirational messages and humor and I love it!

"Thru illustrations and designs, i hope i’ll be able to doodle a smile on people’s face."
