places i love: lee and marie's cakery

In my quest to break my routine, I stopped by Lee and Marie's Cakery the other day just to try a different coffee shop, and I fell in love with this place!
The interior is so cozy and adorable, the service was impeccable and the coffee and pastries were to die for!
Will definitely come back.

Weekend Recap #8

I've been talking non-stop about this place I discovered, and today finally I have  more pictures to show. Panizza Bistro is a mix of Argentinean, Spanish and Italian bistro, and they have excellent pastries. I usually meet my friend here for coffee and we always ordered the miga sandwich which is a ham and cheese pressed sandwich. So good!

Did you enjoy the weekend? Wishing you an awesome week.

It's the little things

I don't remember where I read about how we shouldn't wait to be happy until we achieve major things like getting a promotion at work or going out on vacation. Of course, those things contribute to our happiness, but if we are only happy when they happen, we only get to be happy twice a year or so. Sometimes, we end up postponing our happiness indefinitely.
Instead we should find joy in everyday things like enjoying a cup of coffee, watching the sunset (or the sunrise!), going for a bike ride or just getting to sleep in a little late.

What little things bring you happiness? Please, share!

Panther Coffee

There's no shortage of good coffee shops in Miami Beach, and Panther Coffee became a favorite after my first visit. Located in the uber cool Sunset Harbor neighborhood, it has a very laid back atmosphere, amazing coffee and sweet treats. Check it out!

P.S. Another beloved coffee shop in South Beach.

Pinocchio Cafe

Pinocchio Cafe has become my go-to place for a delicious coffee and pastries. I always order the Pinocchio cafe (espresso with steamed milk, chocolate and cinnamon ) and a flaky and buttery whole-grain croissant.
Lorenzo, the owner, is super friendly and makes the best espresso in town. This place is always packed with Italian ex-pats, so you know this is the real deal!

New York through my lens: December

TA-DA! I finished my photo project New York through my lens! I can't believe I actually completed it.

For the final month, I went to Cafe Sabarsky, a beautiful Viennese cafe inside Neue Galerie. They serve the most amazing pastries and coffee, and you know those are necessities during the Winter time in NYC.

These past 12 months, I showed you 12 different places in New York City, places that I've been meaning to visit and hadn't for different reasons, and favorite places that I love to re-visit from time to time. I had a great time doing this project, and I hope you guys enjoyed it.

You can see the 12 months and 12 places HERE.

As you may know, I recently relocated to Miami Beach. So, I thought it might be fun to do a Miami through my lens project, starting January 2014.

I hope you're coming along for this next adventure! I'd love to show you my new city. There will be bike rides, beaches, cocktails and a lot of sun. Come with me!

An explosion of orange

T
hese days, my favorite color is orange. It's just such a vibrant, happy and intense color. And for some reason, used in kitchen appliances seems perfect!
Don't you just want to jump out of bed and make an espresso with this coffee maker? Orange will definitely give a burst of energy in those lazy mornings.
Hope you got a good start of the week! Here we go, Tuesday!
