I'm big fan of maps and color. Don't know how my love for maps started, but it's probably influenced by my passion of traveling and discovering the world. These maps by English Muffin are beautiful in their simplicity and vibrant in their rainbow colors.

Beautiful, right? But I wonder, how did they draw maps without having satellite images? How did they know the shape of the continents? Anyone?

*Update: Apparently, sailors drew maps by sailing along the coastline, following the position of the stars and using compasses. Isn't that amazing?
