Black and White Portraits

Weird Beauty, is a collaboration between Russian photographer Alexander Khokhlov and make-up artist Valeriya Kutsan.

"In these series we decided to deny any color in our series except black and white to make more accent on forms and volume. The experiment should prove that usual simple forms, familiar things or characters can be a main part of wonderful beauty looks. Model faces in this project are not just canvases for the face-arts - they play their own role in each photo with different parts."

Ekaterina Koroleva

Really impressed with the quality of work of Ekaterina Koroleva.  Her entire portfolio is fantastic, but these female portraits are my favorites.

Constellation

Kumi Yamashita creates these portraits using a wooden panel painted solid white, thousands of small galvanized nails, and a single, unbroken, common sewing thread. Insane!

Funny Dogs

These dog portraits made me smile. The second dog looks so silly! Can't stop laughing :)
