I recently discovered this cool company: Serpent Sea. Sophie Aschauer is the person behind Serpent Sea, she makes these amazing hand woven mats using recycled marine rope. Sophie is being featured on the Madewell Catalog , that's how I found her amazing work.

Wouldn't these mats would be perfect for a beach house? If only I had a beach house!

Happy to discover the work of Italian handbag designer Jen Mascali.
On an interesting note, Jen's great grandfather, a leather artisan, helped create the shoes that Grace Kelly wore on her wedding day. The shoes are on exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Last week's rainy weather and the discovery of a giant hole on my current pair of rain boots made me realize I desperately need a new pair.
