Kitchen Favorites and how I learned to cook

For most of my life, I made sure I stayed far away from the kitchen. It's not that I didn't like to cook, I loathed to cook. It wasn't until I had the chance to spend a few months in Italy (a few years ago)where I started to experiment in the kitchen. But it was out of necessity ( I had to eat, my roommates weren't gonna cook for me and after spending the first days eating out, my wallet was starting to look rather empty).
My first experiments were simple: pasta with a cheesy sauce I invented, roasted tomatoes with oregano and olive oil and vegetable soup. (By the way, I never liked tomatoes until I went to Italy, and all the time I was there, it was all I ever wanted to eat. So juicy and delicious! Also an Italian obsession: milk.)
Now, it's safe to say that I love to cook. I spend hours looking for new recipes to try, I'm contemplating   buying a Dutch Oven and I've become obsessed with Jamie Oliver. Not only is he a great chef but I love his whole philosophy. He has definitely inspired me to eat healthier and now that I spend more time than ever in the kitchen, there are a few things that I have my eye on:

You know that I adore Jamie! I got his newest cookbook (the 30 minutes meals) and its fantastic. I also watch his show every Tuesday. What I love the most about his cooking is that he uses only a few ingredients and makes healthy, home-y types of meals:) Btw: Im also dreaming about that storage jar:) Happy Monday, sweetie pie

Ps: I didnt know that you spend a few months in Italy. That had to be great!
