Mucca Design

Not so long ago, I blogged about Balthazar, one of my favorite restaurants. I really, really like their menus, and the website is beautiful, too.
Well, after reading this post in MintDesign, I discovered who design it!
Mucca Design is a firm based in New York City (with an office in San Francisco), and their work is simply amazing.
Their web design is fresh, original and perfectly-executed.
Here, a few of my favorites:

Polar Bear shaker

Isn't it adorable? A cocktail shaker in the shape of a polar bear.

* I originally found this on 1st dibs and the seller claimed to be circa 1930. This is erroneous, as it was pointed out in the comment section. This is by Restoration Hardware Co. circa 2004.
Thank you Stephen and Clark for letting me know.

Mexican food styling

Last sunday, my mom and I had luch at Cafe Frida, and it was really yummy! We had some awesome micheladas, a very spice guacamole, aztec soup and enchiladas.
I took some pictures, since the food looked so delicious, and I consider this my very first attempt to do food styling, another of my dream professions.

Miami Again.

One of my favorite bloggers, Betty, just visited one of my favorite cities, Miami, (where I lived for 2 years).
I really enjoyed looking at her pictures and reading about what to do, where to shop and what to eat in South Beach.

Her pictures brought back so many memories!

See more here.

American Girl In Italy

Ruth Orkin was an amazing photographer. In 1951 she traveled to Italy and met fellow american and painter Jinx Allen. Together, they captured the essence of Italy (and Florence), Allen as the subject, and Orkin, as the photographer.
Allen walking down the street surrounded by italian men has become an iconic picture and it's the best know photograph by Orkin.
