The other night I stopped for drinks at the W Hotel in Hoboken, NJ and saw this amazing art piece on the huge wall in the lobby. It's safe to say it took my breath away! Made entirely with metallic objects (think nails, dimes, pins and the like) and taking direct inspiration from the old docklands and waterfront industries of Hoboken, this artwork depicts New York City's skyline, and was commissioned to genius artist Ann Carrington. Isn't it something?
P.S. It reminded me of these numbers by Marian Bantjes.
Images: From Ann Carrington's site except last image by Monica Aguinaga (not a great picture, but I wanted to show the human scale).
