Starbucks In Italy?

I read this very interesting post from The Sartorialist.  Apparently, the concept of coffee "to go" is becoming more and more popular in Italy. Italians drink their coffee standing at the "bar" and it's sort of a ritual to drink coffee every morning at the same bar.
What do you think of the idea of a Starbucks in cities such as Rome or Florence?

Why does the world feel the need to Americanize their culture? Don't they get that ours is one of overambitious addictions to things that cause cancer and stress??? Sheesh. I'd never think starbucks on the old world.
