Mai Flores Collection

So I went to Henri Bendel last saturday and I got to meet talented jewelry designer Mai Flores. She was very sweet and was excited to hear that I have her beautiful book Wrapped in Gems.
She was presenting her new collection and, of course, it's inspired by nature. She's now working more with methalsmithing and less wire. Stunning!
My favorite pieces above:
1. Sakura Tree pendant
2. TheBug-Bitten Leaf Ring

Mai Flores
She's on the top 5 of my very long list of favorite/amazing jewelry designers ( I'll share that with you soon). Her designs, inspired by nature, are harmonic and organic. So, I was thrilled to learn that Mai will be presenting her new collection at Henri Bendel on July 23-25.
I'm so going! Can't wait!

Fornasetti

“What inspired me to create more than 500 variations on the face of a woman?” asks Italian designer, Piero Fornasetti of himself. “I don’t know,” he admits, “I began to make them and I never stopped.”

Mutts
The Mutts cartoon by Patrick McDonnell is my daily read.
It's adorable, cute and inspirational. The website is pretty cool, too! (love the background)
